THE ASSIGNMENT

We are looking for an experienced Legal Compliance Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will ensure our organization maintains full adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies, while also helping to build awareness and accountability across all levels of the business.
 
In your role, you must be comfortable with managing and writing policies (like the Third-Party Engagement policy, Anti-Bribery and Corruption policy, Code of Ethics) in an understandable and pragmatic manner. Working closely with the General Counsel, you will be responsible for mapping legal and regulatory requirements, drafting and updating compliance policies, supporting their implementation throughout the organization, conducting compliance checks, delivering training, and handling concerns and complaints, when applicable. You will also provide secondary support in data protection and privacy compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Policy & Regulatory Framework
  • Monitor external laws/regulations, assess risks, draft, update and maintain internal policies accordingly.
  • Ensure effective policy implementation and propose mitigation for compliance risks.
Training & Awareness
  • Develop and deliver tailored compliance training.
  • Promote awareness through workshops and communications.
Compliance Monitoring & Checks
  • Conduct compliance checks and internal review.
  • Track and analyze compliance incidents, risks, and trends.
  • Handle compliance complaints and coordinate responses or investigations, when applicable.
Support to General Counsel
  • Assist in aligning compliance with organizational governance.
  • Prepare reports and embed compliance into decision-making.
Data Protection (Secondary)
  • Support GDPR/privacy law compliance, including training, assessments, and incident tracking.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in compliance function and, legal, or regulatory roles
  • Thorough understanding of compliance frameworks (i.e. whistleblowing, third party risk management, anti-corruption and bribery), well know  compliance certification is desired
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting and implementing compliance policies
  • Background in compliance training, monitoring, and handling complaints
  • Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks; data protection experience is a plus
  • Experience with setting up risk management frameworks (in a scale-up environment)
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
