Our research team published their most extensive research paper on March 22, 2018, in Scientific Reports. The study combined the data from the Mega- and Aerial Expedition, to paint a clear picture of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Read more in our update about the main findings. The research team will also work on completing a mass balance of the problem, in an attempt to understand how persistent the patch is, and what causes the gap between the inflow and stock of plastic.  > See all of our publications
